Mining & Geology

Field investigation and environmental science for mines and for the infrastructure built around them.

The studies a project needs before ground is committed.

Geological mapping & surveys
Rock, structure and terrain recorded so exploration and site planning start from the ground itself.
Resource evaluation
Mineral potential interpreted from laboratory results and modelling.
Mine planning & feasibility studies
Development options tested against access, cost and technical constraints.
Technical reporting
Findings written for regulators, investors and the teams who will operate the site.

The environmental scope that sits with geology, from first assessment to closure.

Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs)
The likely effects of a proposal, set out for the approval process.
Water Use Licence Applications (WULAs)
Applications for the water use a mine or infrastructure project requires.
Environmental Compliance
Day-to-day work checked against conditions that have already been granted.
Environmental Auditing
An independent review of performance and of the records that support it.
Water Quality Monitoring
Sampling and reporting that track water quality through the life of a site.
Groundwater Assessments
Groundwater conditions interpreted for planning and for licensing.
Surface Water Assessments
Runoff, storage and nearby watercourses read against the project footprint.
Waste Management
Waste streams planned, handled and recorded on site.
Environmental Monitoring
Conditions measured while work is underway and after it has stopped.
Rehabilitation Planning
Closure and restoration set out before operations begin, then kept current.
GIS Mapping
Spatial data drawn together so environmental and project decisions share one map.
Environmental Permitting
The permits a project needs, assembled and submitted for the activities proposed.

Field practice for water underground, and for the ground a structure will stand on.
